Buffalo Bills' jack-of-all-trades Brad Smith is back in New York, but not as a player.
The former Jet is covering Fashion Week as an intern for Men's Health Magazine. He will interview designers, take photos, try on clothes and file regular reports for the magazine's website.
"I'm excited about meeting new people. It's kind of an adrenalin rush. It's not in your comfort zone. You don't know anybody, which makes it exciting," he told ESPN.com. "I love to see how things come together, The biggest thing about fashion is image. And here, I'll get to see how it works behind the scenes what particularly designers go through, how they market things and the whole business behind trying to push their brand forward."
Smith said he's more of a sweats and dirty jersey type of person, he said. He said Stevie Johnson, George Wilson and C.J. Spiller are among the beat-dressed Bills.
The 29-year-old Smith had 14 catches for 152 yards and two touchdowns in 2012. He also ran the ball 14 times for 116 yards out of the Wildcat formation along with a touchdown. His sole pass attempt was incomplete. He returned 18 kickoffs for 496 and one touchdown.
Fashion Week lasts until Feb. 13.
