Former Buffalo Bills defensive coordinator Dave Wannstedt has found another job.
Various media outlets are reporting that Wannstedt has been hired as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ special teams coordinator.
As the Bills’ defensive coordinator, Wannstedt led a group which ranked 22ndoverall in defense, 30th in rushing defense and 10th in passing defense. Those rankings came after the Bills added several top defensive players, including Mario Williams and Mark Anderson.
Wannstedt was fired with the rest of the coaching staff at the end of last season. The Bills, under new head coach Doug Marrone, hired New York Jets defensive coordinator Mike Pettine to coach the team’s defense.
Wannstedt has also served as head coach with the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins.
