On the weekend where we give thanks for all of the great things in our lives, the Buffalo Bills will look to give fans one more thing to be thankful for; a win.
The Bills currently sit at 4-6, but still have a chance at a playoff berth. The Bills will have a chance to inch closer to a playoff spot when the play the Indianapolis Colts, who currently own the No. 5 playoff seed. Bills running back CJ Spiller says that every team they play is standing in their way of a playoff chance.
"The main thing is if we want to get to the playoffs every team that we play from here on out is going to be on course to be in the way," Spiller told Buffalobills.com. "We just have to take it one game at a time. We know that each week is tough and it is no exception this week. In order to give yourself a chance to win, you have to have a great week of preparation. I have all the confidence in the world that our guys will have a great week this week leading up to the game."
The Bills are coming into what is supposed to be the "easy" part of their schedule. Games against the Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars and St. Louis Rams are all very winnable games for Buffalo, but none are to be taken lightly.
"They are all important. Our next game against a team that is ahead of us in the standings right now," Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick told Buffalobills.com. "We always talk about division games being two-for games and all of that but you can really put this in the same category. Just in terms of a team that is ahead of us. We need to get a win and give them a loss. That would be a very good thing for us obviously."
One thing is for sure, Bills fans have been hungry for the playoffs since 1999, and no amount of turkey this holiday is going to quell that hunger.
